Classes will be taught by Kristen Shaw who made a career as an Actress in Los Angeles for over 15 years.  She has appeared over 25 films and TV shows, as well as having dozens of commercials to her credit.  Since arriving in Atlanta, she has worked on several projects including the Kevin Spacey film “Father of Invention”, and “Straw Dogs” with Kate Bosworth and James Marsden.  Kristen has coached thousands of actors in her career. Michael H. Cole has adapted Sanford Meisner’s method of “being in the moment” and Kinesiology into a highly successful unique and personal approach to auditioning and acting in both theatre and film. You will be …. put on camera regularly, use sides of all lengths from film & TV to commercial & industrial, create & shoot 1 minute actor’s slates for upload to your web profiles (ie. 800casting), be immersed in the Meisner Method, weekly hone your knowledge of the local and national status of the industry, become familiar with what to expect once you book the gig, develop techniques to respond instantly to redirects both in an audition and on a set, and

Michael has over 30 yrs. of experience in theatre and film. In 2002 edition of Who’s Who of American Teachers, he was honored for acting instruction. His film credits include Tyler Perry’s film Meet the Browns w/ Angella Bassett, Lynch Mob w/ Tony Darrow of the Soprano’s, Fate w/ Lee Majors, The Crazies, The Collection & TV in Magic Eye, Homeland, Teen Wolf, Past Lives, Drop Dead Diva, Army Wives, One Tree Hill, Meet the Browns, The Crossing & Hall Mark Hall of Fame’s Front of the Class. He is the Producing Artistic Director of a local theatre company in ATL & teaches workshops & privates for Atlanta agencies. Michael’s aggressive teaching style is driven by his passionate belief that every actor deserves a chance.


Vince Pisani has over 20 yrs. of experience in theatre and film. He is most recognized as the Keno Guy in Ga. Lottery’s Any Given Keno. He was the lead in PBS’s feature A Second Chance as well as BET’s Somebodies & The Game, Army Wives, Teen Wolf &

Atlanta Film Festivals My Redneck Brain Cell awarded “Best of the Fest”. An Atlanta acting coach & in house assistant casting for Houghton Talent where each week he puts hundreds of actors on tape. He is also the Managing Director of a local theatre company in ATL. As a teacher, he provides unique knowledge & perspective of actor, agency rep & on camera auditioning.


Taping Services

We want to make sure everyone has a chance to be seen when requested for an audition – even when we can’t tape you ourselves.  On those rare occasions when we can’t get you in to meet a deadline or you’re not available when we’re taping, we strongly recommend you use a professional service (unless you are experienced in taping auditions).  Taping services provide a professional setting and reader for the best read possible.  Here’s a list of current options, their prices vary but are all reasonable and these are all people we know well and recommend highly.  We hope this will allow you to get in on auditions when your schedule isn’t working w/ ours or for those last minute deadlines!

Keep in mind that we aren’t always able to take taped auditions outside of what we do in the office, so read your emails closely and check with the agent who requested you before you go to the time and expense (this will also allow us to give you any special instructions if we have them).

We hope this will allow you to submit on more projects, even when your schedule may not allow you to come in to the initial audition or we’re on a last minute deadline!

The Red Balloon – Theatre Audition

Théâtre du Rêve announces Auditions for

The Red Balloon is a theater performance for families based on the famous film and children’s story by Albert Lamorisse. The production incorporates French language, puppetry, original music, and physical comedy.

Production Dates:
Workshop — Sunday, Oct 3, 2010 (adult actors only)
Rehearsals — Jan 18 – Feb 16, 2011
Performances — Feb 18, 19, 25, 26 at 8pm, Feb 20, 27 at 3pm, and school matinees Feb 16, 17, 18, 23, 24 at 10am, 2011

Child Actors: Sep 9, 2010, from 6pm to 8pm, at 7Stages Back Stage
Adult Actors: Sep 16, 2010, from 6pm to 10pm, at 7Stages Back Stage

Roles for Child Actors:
Pascal (Male) age 8-12 — sweet, innocent, friendly, outstanding smile and a great pout.
Children’s Chorus (Male/Female) ages 8-12 — The Children’s Chorus will participate in a class room scene with shadow puppetry, perform a school yard song, and appear in the finale of the show. 2-3 children will be selected to play “mean boys” that tease Pascal, and 1 child will be selected to play “the girl with the blue balloon”. Previous acting experience and singing skills preferred.
NOTE: The role of Pascal will require multiple evening rehearsals with the professional actors during the full rehearsal period. The Children’s Chorus will be required to attend approximately 1-2 weeks of evening rehearsals, tech week, and all performances.

Roles for Adult Actors:
The following roles are paid.
Claudine (Female) 30-60’s — Pascal’s mother. Strong French language skills, strong musicality.
Hebert (Male) 30-60’s — a lamplighter. Strong physical comedy. He is kind and has a twinkle in his eye.
Street Musician (Male/Female) 20-60s — Strong musical improvisation, composition, multiple instruments and accordion skills a plus! This role will also be asked to assist with musical direction and teaching a short song to the children’s chorus.
Auditions are open to both Equity and non-Equity actors.

Roles for Acting Interns:
The following roles are compensated by a small stipend.
Homme (Male) 18-30 — plays multiple parts, character skills, puppetry, and French language skills a plus.
Femme (Female) 18-30 — plays multiple parts, character skills, puppetry and French language skills a plus.

Adults: Please prepare a short monologue and 30-60 seconds of whatever you do best (i.e. singing, playing an instrument, riding a unicycle, mime work, telling a joke, storytelling, or a combination of any and all of your skills). It’s your time, so do what you enjoy. The show is about sharing — show us what you’ve got and make us smile! Please also be prepared for a short cold reading with French and English languages.
Children: Prepare a short a cappella song, a joke, and a special skill (i.e. juggling, jumping rope, a magic trick, touching your toes — anything that you are proud of!)
NOTE: A majority of the play will be performed in English, but actors may be required to perform lines in French.

Male Caucasian Age: 50 – 65. Must currently be on Lipitor for at least 6 months. Patient cannot be taking any other cholesterol lowering medication at the same time as Lipitor. Patient must take prescribed dosage on a daily basis.

Group # 2 — High Cholesterol

Male  All ethnicities. Age: 50 – 65. Must currently be on Lipitor for at least 6 months. Cannot be taking any other cholesterol lowering medication at the same time as Lipitor
