JIMMY OUYANG: “Caryn is an extremely comprehensive coach. I came from standup comedy. With Caryn, I’ve learned to immerse myself as a real actor, not just a comedian pretending to be an actor. Her class is not about the quick, shallow fixes; its about how to be a REAL, solid actor from the inside out. I’ve also found her meditation and breathing techniques extremely helpful in overcoming audition nerves. I recently booked a VERIZON national 4 commercial deal thanks to what I’ve learned”.
Tom Mendola TOM MENDOLA was just cast as a lead in LEND ME A TENOR at the Strasberg Institute!: “Caryn West’s scene study class is by far a cut above any other class or school  where I have previously studied. She has the technical knowledge and experience to cut right to what is holding an actor back. Her emphasis on the basics of the craft quickly fills in any gaps from previous training so an actor can move forward and improve.  Her passion and knowledge of the craft is deep and wide and she is willing to go all out to help you go as far as you want to go as an actor.”
Laurine Towler LAURINE TOWLER: “I just wanted to thank you for helping me to book my very first Law & Order episode (SVU)!  I attribute it to sitting in on your audition workshop years ago where you talked about the different acting styles needed for different TV shows and suggested (… a tool CW will reveal in class) for Law and Order auditions. I never forgot that and when the audition turned up out of the blue I did just that at the initial audition and callback and BOOKED IT! Thanks! I played a lawyer and had a nice scene with Mariska Hargitay & Danny Pino A delicious day!”

GPP Oscar BBQ night

Howdy,

I’m personally inviting you to come watch that BIG AWARDS SHOW on a 30-foot wide
screen with me and Georgia’s entertainment leaders on Sunday evening, 2/24
at PC&E. We’ll have contests with BIG prizes, including a chance to win a flight
simulator experience worth $1500, a Four Seasons’ spa treatment and much more.
All this benefits the GPP to help grow our industry.

Mmmm… there’s food too! For our vegetarians, we have roasted veggie lasagna, a
chilled veggie medley, meatless green beans, coleslaw, breads and desserts. The
meat-eaters get LowCountry’s pulled smoked chicken, pulled pork barbecue and all
of their delicious fixins.

To wash it all down, there will be plenty of tea, coffee and beverages. Bring your own
specialty drink, may it be water, wine, beer or whatever. If you’re feeling social, bring
extra bottles to share.

Once you buy your tickets, you can vote on-line for your favorite films and
celebrities. You can even show us your acting chops by entering the Screen Test
Challenge, hosted by yourACT.

Comedians and Actors Cris Gray and Angie Harrell will be hosting the event and
may ask you a trivia question or two, so be sure to brush up on your Georgia film
history.

Come mingle with other entertainment industry folks and have fun supporting the
GPP fundraiser this Sunday night. Tickets going fast – Buy yours today!!! http://
bit.ly/GPP-Oscars

$22 members and $33 for non-members ($10 more at the door… if we have any
