Blueprint 4 Hollywood class

Hello!

Please join us on this Thursday, October 25th for a FREE preview/audio of Acting Technique for Film and Television with instructor Valerie Sue Love! Class will take place at Blueprint Acting Studios at 8735 Dunwoody Pl, STE 100. Atlanta, GA 30350 from 8:00pm-10:00pm.The class contents include the following:

ACTING TECHNIQUE for Film & Television:

 Thursdays: 8:00-10:00pm

The process of acting is difficult to nail down. By technique we at Studio 11 Films mean any process or method the actor uses to create a work of art, from the smallest action you do while rehearsing, to the most complicated exercise or character study. This process or method becomes YOUR TECHNIQUE. This class will be taught in several parts: introduction to the masters of the craft – Stanislavski, Meisner, Strasberg, Adler and Grotowski; understanding the different techniques; developing your instrument and beginning to create an individualized process/method of acting that works for you. In addition students will continue to exercise  acting muscles by exploring the fundamentals of acting for film, television and commercials, slating for the camera, preparing the right monologue for auditions, creating a character as well as improvisation, acting in the moment all while you work out the skills needed to get the part!

If you are planning to attend the FREE audit/preview of Acting Technique on this Thursday , Please RSVP by responding to this email no later than noon on Thursday, 10/25/2012. Seating is distributed based on a first come first serve basis. We look forward to sharing this experience with you 🙂
Sincerely,

“Masters of Illusion”

Entertainment Newsletter

James Brandon in “Masters of Illusion” -Sellout crowds on Mid-West tour

We rolled into each city with a semi truck, 2 playful tigers and a sleeper bus filled with show folks. The real magic is how, in just a matter of hours, producer Gay Blackstone managed to mount a full evening show of Grand Illusions. With 25 cast, tech and crew members everyone literally rolled out of bed and loaded right in to each new theater. The cast was energetic and fun, the audiences were enthusiastic and the catering was great! Wifi on the bus, nice touch.

3rd appearance on France’s “Le Plus Grand Cabaret Du Monde”

Patrick Sebastien is the host of one of the longest running variete shows in history and for some reason likes me enough to have me back every so often. Although I have 3 hours worth of material to choose from they really seem to be partial to the Bird And Sword act that I performed at Le Alcazar de Paris, where I got my start. No complaints though, all was first class as usual.

IcyHot Commercial finds new life in Canadian Campaign

Yes, just when you thought it was safe to watch your TV again…… well, I guess it is, unless you live in Canada! I knew I was fortunate when this commercial had a two year national run in the United States but I could never imagine that the people up North, in the land of my father, might also need relief from minor aches and pains. “And the scent vanishes” (no camera tricks BTW).

Q: Is there something deep about Salt, doc? I’m serious. I really wanna know.

A: Salt is vital for life. It’s pretty much as key as water. As you may know, they give you saline when you’re dehydrated… and that’s not just straight H20. And salt gives things flavor. Jesus told his disciples to be “salt and light.” That’s all pretty deep, in a spiritually-significant sort of way.

Oh, wait. You were talking about the movie, weren’t you? Yeah, there’s some of that there, too, I suppose.
