Crystal Carson classes

Crystal Carson is coming back to Atlanta this month and has a great line up of classes. Crystal is a very successful actor and has been coaching and teaching in LA for the past 20 years. Crystal’s energy, passion, knowledge and methods have made a huge difference in the career’s of many Atlanta Actors. After studying with Crystal many actors actually like auditioning (or at the very least are not intimidated anymore). She is very passionate about giving Atlanta actors all the right tools to focus our audition prep on what really matters and kill it in every audition…no matter who we are up against!

Crystal is offering three different classes:
1. “10 Things Casting Directors & Producers look for in your audition” – This class is a fantastic introduction to Crystal and her teaching style. Her passion is infectious and you’ll walk away with knowledge you can put to use immediately – Wed, June 27th

2. “Thought Support” – This phenomenal technique gives you a safety net under every audition so you never have anxiety about knowing the words again. Thursday, June 21st and 28th (12 students per class – only a couple of spots left)

3. “Auditioning by Heart” – This is the amazing 3-day intensive workshop that has changed the careers of so many Atlanta actors. “AbH” is perfect for every actor wanting to take their career to the next level. Friday – Sunday, June 22-24 and June 29-July 1 (12 students per class – only a couple of spots left).

2012 The Essential Theatre Festival
“Evelyn in Purgatory” by Topher Payne, directed by Betty Hart
“THE LOCAL” a collaborative project directed by Ellen McQueen
“Bat-Hamlet” by Jordan Pulliam, directed by Peter Hardy

THE LOCAL. Is a collaborative theatre project made of short pieces by different Atlanta artists. All the pieces are set in different Atlanta locations. There are also pieces based on real stories collected from local people. The stage is set for the many locations through the use of projected photographs.

THE LOCAL is being produced by The Essential Theatre in July, 2012, as part of a three play festival performing in the King Plow Arts Center in Atlanta. The Essential has got the bare bones covered but this project wants to fly. There are playwrights, poets, choreographers, photographers, designers, songwriters, rappers, dancers, and more artists involved, all with wonderful creative ideas that need some financial fertilizing to fully flower.  [read more]
