Mississippi Damned Holiday Sale – Discounts on DVDs AND Posters

Mississippi Damned‘s Holiday Sale November 9, 2011
New Tina

Letter from Mississippi Damned‘s Writer/Director Tina Mabry

Dear Mississippi Damned Supporters,

Ever since Mississippi Damned premiered on the film festival circuit, there’s been something about the film that people can’t seem to shake. Whether it is the realistic world in which it’s set; the intense and talented acting; or the showcasing of African-Americans in cinema; people all over the world keep calling, writing, tweeting, and making Facebook posts. I am immensely thankful that after debuting on the festival circuit more than two years ago, thousands of people are drawn to the film and are moved by its contents.

This is why Morgan’s Mark is excited to announce its holiday sale on the Mississippi Damned DVDs and posters.  Share this powerful film with friends and family during the holiday season. That’s what I did! Mississippi Damned is based off my intimate life experiences and I am always asked the same question, “Has your family seen the film?” My family has indeed seen the film, and further, I chose to show them this portrait of our lives during Christmas!   Contrary to what many may expect, the film did not wreck my family relationships nor our holiday festivities; rather, it sparked candid conversation about past secrets, our family bond, and future plans. The film brought us closer together as a family and allowed us to confront issues that we had ignored for years.

This unforgettable experience and the growing demand for the film since its television premiere on Showtime has inspired this holiday sale in the hopes that the film will continue to spark conversations, comfort those in similar situations, and empower personal growth. To all of Mississippi Damned‘s fans who have championed the film – thank you. I appreciate your support, letters, phone calls, and tweets. It lets me know we are doing something right at Morgan’s Mark and we are eager to bring you more stories from our unique perspective.  By supporting Mississippi Damned this holiday season, you help ensure the future of our next film, County Line, a father-son crime drama with a unique southern perspective. For more information on this film and its development, we encourage you to join our facebook fan site for County Line.

Thanks and Happy Holidays!
