Katt Shea has worked with or helped to start the careers of many well known actors: Drew Barrymore, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mena Suvari, Christina Applegate, Alison Lohman, Melissa Gilbert, Tom Skerritt, Kathy Baker, Sara Gilbert — and now she will help develop your clients into viable working actors.
Get prepared with solid cold reading skills, the ability to be entirely free, in the moment, in the room.
“AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME, KATT. YOU TOTALLY ROCK! I WISH ALL MY TALENT WOULD COME TO YOU!!!” Lisa Berman (Berman Sacks)
“…Our clients who work with Katt have booked roles in feature films, network series and commercials. We owe part of our success to Katt Shea.” Theo Caesar (agent, former CD)
Actors can try their first class only $40.00! (661) 268-8611 http://www.kattshea.com STUDIO CITY & SANTA CLARITA locations.
Alison Lohman: “You’ve given me confidence and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I feel like I can do anything now. Never have I trusted someone so much.”
Drew Barrymore: “You are a fabulous director. I love you.”
Christina Applegate: ”It was amazing working with Katt. It took my acting to a deeper level.”
Tom Skerritt: “I could have never done those provocative scenes with another director.”
Jeff Rosick: “I’m so excited, Katt! Thank you for all you are and all you do for us actors. I wouldn’t have gotten this phenomenal opportunity without you in more ways than one, so thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are an inspiration.” (Booked a series regular role on Friday Night Lights)
Jackie O’Brian “I have had amazing results from Katt’s cold reading class. There is no better class to hone one’s audition skills and focus on the art of acting. I came to class in Sept and after just a few classes I booked 2 different prime time network comedies which had been a goal of mine for a long time. (Outsourced & Raising Hope)
Nadia Dawn “Katt Shea has helped me get out of my head. The negative voice is gone. The only voice left is my instinctual voice. Acting has now become exciting again! I truly feel empowered. I had been through so much training my instincts got lost. I got in my head after all the different coaches. Thank you to Katt for allowing me to find my natural state again. She not only helps you but never puts you down or makes you question what you are doing in this business. (booked lead in Silver Lake, role in Entourage)
Karynn Moore: Katt Shea has opened me up to connect fully with my emotions and be completely in the moment … She is a magic bullet in my acting (as well as my life). (Booked roles in Water For Elephants, Cinema Verite, Huge)
Director Alex Bram: “Whatever you are doing with these actors in your class is working. These two came onto my set fully prepared, ready to take direction and adjustments, and just basically made my life easier. What’s more, they threw down a couple of riveting performances. I am just so thrilled with what they did. I appreciate you and the fact that you delivered two actors who brought one of the most important scenes in my script to life.” (Body of Work)
Matt Wizniak: “This class brought me out of a ten-year slump. It’s like a rebirth for me.”
Christopher Parker: ”My wife didn’t want me taking a Sunday class until 3 weeks in, when I started booking jobs. Then she said, “Go, go! — After 25 years I was about to quit acting until a friend convinced me to try Katt’s class. I got my joy of acting back and money coming in.”
Melanie Miller: ”I love the fact that you actually participate (2 or 3 times) every class! It keeps you so well oiled for auditions. Other classes you sit around and watch scenes that students rehearsed for weeks, and that are not even close in quality to what we see in this class. The spontaneity keeps everything alive and real.”
Trevor Strem: “I’m so sorry Trevor missed your class today! He was called for an audition so we ran out of the house & in my haste, I forgot to contact you. The good news is he booked the project!”
Andrea Jensen: “When I joined SAG I wasn’t booking any jobs. I couldn’t even get a callback. I joined Katt’s class and within a month I got my first callback. The audition was a cold read, and because of what I’d been learning in class, I nailed it. I booked my first SAG job. Katt is fun, professional and knows how to get the best out of her students.”
Erik Fellows: Katt’s class has taken my acting to a different level. I can’t wait to see how much further it brings me. My confidence has improved. I trust myself to make choices so much more now. I look forward to each time I go up. I’ve booked several roles, one reoccurring, since I’ve been in class.
Jeff Kleeman (president of United Artists): “I’ve had the opportunity of observing Katt teaching a class and it was no surprise to me that she is a top-notch teacher. She has incredible, focus, commitment and grace. I’ve worked with her multiple times in the past and those experiences make me hope that I’ll find many opportunities to work with her in the future.”
