In this class, you will learn the techniques of a cold reading by:

  • Understanding how to handle a script with limited time
  • Creating a technique that will take you step by step through the   audition process
  • Becoming more comfortable with on camera auditioning
  • Learning how to WOW the casting directors with your audition!!!

In Blueprint’s Cold Reading class you will learn all you need to know about how to deliver a scene in the quickest but best way possible, all while learning techniques that will separate you from the rest.  We will use real film and television scenes.  Please bring notebook, pen, and

Classes will be taught by Kristen Shaw who made a career as an Actress in Los Angeles for over 15 years.  She has appeared over 25 films and TV shows, as well as having dozens of commercials to her credit.  Since arriving in Atlanta in April of 2009, she has worked on several projects including the Kevin Spacey film “Father of Invention”, and “Straw Dogs” with Kate Bosworth and James Marsden.  Kristen has coached thousands of actors in her career. Also need a Technique for performing the perfect Monologue?

 

This class introduces the actor to the process required to effectively prepare and perform a monologue for an audition. The student will identify and select 1-2 monologues that best showcase their essences. Throughout the class, students will work on analyzing and developing the character, defining objectives and charting beats of the selected monologue(s). At the end of this class, each student will have at least one “audition-ready” monologue.

GET welcomes John Ammerman, Artistic Director of Theater Emory, and Eddie Levi Lee, celebrating his return to Atlanta from his recent post as Artistic Director of The Empty Space in Seattle. These men lead an incredible ensemble cast of 23 actors!

GPP – The Next Cool Thing

The Next Cool Thing event took place in Atlanta over January 21, 22 and 23. Thousands of visitors thronged the venue over three days to view spectacular interior design displays, entertainment, food and exhibits. Guests at Saturday night’s Gala event contributed generously toward Georgia Production Partnership, the not-profit beneficiary of the evening. Here are some pictures from the 3-day event.
