ADULT BALLET SERIES AT DANCE 411 STARTING THIS SUNDAY JULY 18!

GET FIT FOR SUMMER SWIM SUIT SEASON! BALLET TONES AND STRENGHTHENS, CREATING LONG, LEAN MUSCLES IN ALL PARTS OF THE BODY.

It is time for the ballet series once again at Dance 411 and this time there are three classes! The NEW series starts this Sunday July 18 and Goes through Sunday AUG 22. Hope to see you there!

ADULT BALLET SERIES LEVEL I – Six Weeks of Classes. Sundays 1:00-2:00

This class is for students with very little past ballet experience. Students learn basics of classical ballet technique through floor exercises while building muscular strength and mental acuity. Proper dance posture and classroom etiquette are emphasized.

ADULT BALLET Level 2 – Sundays 2:00-3:00

This class is for students who have completed the Ballet level 1 six week series or have some experience with ballet. The students will be building on basics already learned and work up to slightly more complicated barr combinations, turns, and jumps.

This class is for adults who have had 2 years of ballet training or more. Students will be adding onto their already known vocabulary of ballet moves and technique through barr excercises, center and across the floor combinations. If the student is interested in including pointwork it is optional in this class. Instructor approval required for pointwork.

Learn Ballet from Jamie Horban! Jamie is excited to join the faculty at Dance 411 as a teacher this year after moving from Chicago, Il. She trained in Chicago for many years in chechetti ballet, jazz, tap, modern, tango, flamenco, hip-hop, Musical Theater, acrobatics, Belly dance, African dance, salsa and Latin. She has trained at Evanston School of Ballet, Ruth Page Dance Center, Lou Conte Dance Studio, Ellis du Boulet, Chicago Ballet, Gus Giordano, Joel Hall Dance Center. She graduated from Northwestern University with a bs in dance and film. She has danced with numerous dance companies including Lyric Opera of Chicago, Dance Chicago, White Oak Dance Project, and Latin American Dance Company. She has taught at Atlanta Ballet, Interlochen Arts Academy, Korean Dance Company,Gold’s Gym, Northlight Theater, and Ballet Legere just to name a few. She has choreographed for many dance companies, theaters and production companies around the United States including Interlochen Arts, Atlanta Ballet Pre-Pro Division, Dance Chicago, The Chicago Cultural Center, CK Dance Company, Northlight Theater, Metropolis Theater, Bailiwick Theater, Ballet Legere, Northwestern University, and the Actor’s Gymnasium. While in Chicago Jamie Produced four large festivals a year including Solestance which had an eight year run. The festival and Jamie were featured in the Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Reader, The Dailiy Herald, Pioneer Press, as well as on WGN morning news and WTTW Chicago
